What the Standards Group does
Writes the standards
The Standards Group writes the admission standards for each specialty the captive writes, and publishes them.
Decides who is admitted
Every application is read by the four physicians of the Standards Group, James McAtee, Paul Slosar, Jay Gilbaugh and Luis Tumialán, against those standards, not by a scoring model. Only the best performing physicians are admitted.
Re-underwrites every year
The membership is reviewed against the standards each year, by the same physicians, on the record.
